The User Control Center (UCC) is your control panel to modify your account and some settings.

Personal profile

This section of the UCC makes you able to change your profile information that is shown to the other users.

Overview

This is gives you, as the title says, an overview of your account. It shows some statistics and some of your favorite topics.

Edit profile

This page has a form where you can change some information. In v1.1 the fields will be grouped by category.

Field descriptions:

Member title

A title shown below your username certain places on the forum.

Location

What country or other geographical location you are located.

Gender

Self-explanatory... what gender you are. Can be set to either male, female or nothing.

MSN Messenger

MSN Messenger is a messaging client by Microsoft. This field holds your MSN Messenger handle.

AIM screen name

Your screen name for AIM's messaging client.

Jabber

Jabber is yet another messaging client. This holds your screen name for a Jabber account.

Website

If you have a website you may type the URL for it here. It will be shown on your profile page.

Birthday

Set your birthday here for people to know how old you are and when your birthday is. Depending on the forum settings you may be listed on the forum's main page on your birthday.

Edit avatar

Here you can edit your avatar. Select the way your avatar should be stored. You can give an URL to your avatar, upload one or not have any at all.

If you choose to upload one, then click on the browse button and find the file on your computer.

Edit signature

This is where you can edit your signature. Type your wanted signature in the text area and click "Save signature" when finished. There is two ways in which you can edit your signature:

1. With the WYSIWYG editor.
2. By formatting it with BBcodes

Away system

If you are going away for some time you may let other people know by marking yourself as away. If you are marked as away there will be a notice on your profile. You will always know if you have been marked as away as there will be a message in yellow under the userbar if you are marked as away.

You alter your away status by choosing either "Yes" or "No" and you may optionally leave a message as well.

Tools

The tools area of the UCC contains (obviously!) different tools you can use.

Buddy list

At the buddy list you can add buddies and blocked users. You simply just type their name in the respective input boxes and click on the add button to add them.

If you can't remember the username of the user you wish to add to either of the lists you may begin typing and IceBB will try to guess the username for you giving you a list of usernames that match what you have already typed.

In IceBB v1.1 this will be called Buddies / Blocked users

Manage favorites

You can add favorite forums and favorite topics. This section of the User Control Center will give you a complete list of your favorites and you are able to delete them.

Manage uploads

This section gives an overview of your uploaded files. You are able to remove your uploads here.

Settings

There are different things you can change in IceBB. This section makes you able to change how IceBB will work/look for you.

Change password

In order to log in you must provide a correct password for your account. Here you may change your password. For security reasons you will have to provide your current password to prevent unauthorized password changes.

Change email address

Here you can change your email address. Your email address is used if administrators need to contact you or you have lost your password. You need to provide your password to change your email.

Date & time settings

In order for IceBB to show dates and times that are correct for you, you will have to set the correct date and time settings.

Time zone

This is the time zone you are located in. If you are unsure, capital/big cities are mentioned to help you choose the correct one.

Dayligt Savings

Some countries use daylight, if yours does, you should check this.

Date format

This is primarily meant for advanced use. You are able to change how dates will be formatted. This used the PHP date format.

Board settings

This changes how IceBB works.

View users' avatars?

If you do not wish to view other users' avatars you can turn them off here.

View users' signatures?

If you do not wish to view other users' signatures you can turn them off here.

View smileys

If you turn this off smileys won't be parsed in topics and private messages.

Editor style

IceBB has three different editors for posting and private messaging: The basic editor that has no toolbars, and where you must manually enter BBcodes. The extended editor that has toolbars, and the WYSIWYG editor that works like a real editor.

Quick edit on/off

With quick edit you can edit topics without loading a new page.

Skin choice

Some forums might offer additional skins for IceBB. You can choose one here.

Language choice

Some forums might offer additional languages for IceBB. You can choose one here.

Email settings

May administrators contact you?

You can disallow that administrators contact you with this setting. Note that administrators may, disregardless of this setting, contact you with important information.

May members contact you?

You can disallow that other members may contact you with this setting.
